The Easter Bunny. Why does he even bother hiding the eggs?

My niece is studying poetry in her 1st grade class at school.   Here are two of her original pieces:

Christmas.
Why does Santa Claus come on Christmas?
I mean, like we could celebrate it without him.

Disneyland.
Why is Disneyland like 1000 dollars?
Is it because the castle lights up in the winter?
Or is it because they want a lot of money?
Or is it because they like it?

Frankly, although I am beyond impressed with her grasp of the genre, I'm a bit concerned that the bleak state of the Michigan economy may be having some unintended consequences.
